Gard Chemicals Adhesive Cleaners and Release Agents are submitted to the global organisation known as NSF for external approval for use within the Food Manufacturing and associated industries.

 

The NSF mark is your assurance that the product has been tested by one of the most respected independent certification organisations in existence today. It is valued by consumers, manufacturers, retailers and regulatory agencies worldwide.

The NSF certification mark on a product means that the product complies with all standard requirements. NSF conducts periodic unannounced inspections and product testing to verify that the product continues to comply with the standard.

 

The mark also provides:

  • Knowledge that an impartial review against established criteria or guidelines has been conducted
  • Evidence that product labelling and claims have been objectively reviewed by a trusted third party
  • Evidence of our company-wide commitment to quality, compliance and safety
  • Backing by a team of professionals dedicated to public health and safety operating in more than 150 countries around the world
NSF

MPI

Gard Chemicals Adhesive Cleaners and Release Agents have been submitted and approved by the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) for use within premises processing all animal products (except dairy) operating under the Animal products Act regime.

 

It is valued by consumers, manufacturers, retailers and regulatory agencies worldwide.

 

MPI leads New Zealand’s food safety system, protecting the health and wellbeing of consumers here and overseas. MPI helps guard the international reputation of New Zealand food products and set and monitor food standards.

 

The acceptance also provides:

  • Knowledge that an impartial review against established criteria or guidelines has been conducted
  • Evidence that product labelling and claims have been objectively reviewed by a trusted third party
  • Evidence of our company-wide commitment to quality, compliance and safety
  • Gard Chemicals has submitted full chemical formulations of all our accepted products including % of components to enable the assessment to be carried out

CFIA

Gard Chemicals Adhesive Cleaners and Release Agents have been submitted and accepted by the CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) for use within the Food Manufacturing and associated industries.

 

It is valued by consumers, manufacturers, retailers and regulatory agencies worldwide. The CFIA Non-Food Chemical and Container Integrity Program sets requirements for, and evaluates submissions for CFIA acceptance for, the safe use of non-food chemical products (i.e. cleaners), food packaging materials and construction materials in federally registered food establishments.

 

The process consists of evaluating each chemical ingredient in a product individually and as a whole to ensure their use will not present a food safety concern. If a product is accepted for use in a food establishment, a letter of acceptance is issued to the applicant and the accepted product will be listed on the CFIA website.

 

Mitigating risks to food safety is the CFIA’s highest priority, and the health and safety of Canadians is the driving force behind the design and development of CFIA programs. The CFIA, in collaboration and partnership with industry, consumers, and federal, provincial and municipal organizations, continues to work towards protecting Canadians from preventable health risks related to food and zoonotic diseases.
